It has been incredible to be involved in the production of a documentary about the astonishing Fiat Lux video installation of American artist Travis Threlkel in the Vatican City. We followed Travis for 6 days as he prepared for the first video projection ever allowed on the façade of the San Peter’s Basilica. The art project illuminated the Basilica with photos of the natural world taken by some of the most renowned nature photographers including Sebastião Salgado, Joel Sartore, Yann Arthus Bertrand, David Doubilet, Ron Fricke and Mark Magidson. The projection was curated by Oscar-winner Louie Psihoyos (The Cove) and Travis Threlkel and produced by Obscura Digital.
I feel very proud and lucky to have been part of this unique project and to have had the chance to share this week as part of a team of award-winning filmmakers and producers including Noaz Deshe, Nirvan Mullick, Aaron Ohlmann and Khoby Rowe. Fiat Lux (Let there be light)!
